Announcement Johannes Geiss Fellowship 2017

ISSI has received 15 excellent applications, most of them from top-level scientists. Needless to say that we are very honored by the high number of applications. The Selection Committee, consisting of all the Directors of ISSI and the Chairman of the ISSI Science Committee, has had a hard task to evaluate all these applications and to select the candidate for the 2017 Johannes Geiss Fellowship. After thorough evaluation of all the applications, we are proud to announce that Prof. Gary Zank from the University of Alabama has been elected the third JGF recipient.

We would like to thank all applicants to the Johannes Geiss Fellowship 2017 for their interest in our institute. The next call for the JGF 2018 will be issued in due time.

European Planetary Science Congress (EPSC) will be held in Geneva in 2019

The European Planetary Science Congress (EPSC) is the major European meeting on planetary science. Since the first event in Berlin in 2006, EPSC has been the main dissemination platform for the European planetary science community. EPSC meetings cover the entire scope of planetary sciences and have a distinctively interactive style, with an extensive mix of talks, workshops and posters, intended to provide a stimulating environment for the community to meet. Geneva will be the location of the European Planetary Science Congress in 2019, organized jointly with the American Astronomical Society Division of Planetary Science, and ISSI is part of the Swiss consortium that is organising this event.
