ISSI Beijing started its Activities
The official inauguration of the International Space Science Institute Beijing (ISSI-BJ) was in July 2013 and ISSI Beijing started with its scientific program. ISSI Beijing was jointly established by the National Space Science Center (NSSC) and the International Space Science Institute (ISSI) with the support of the International Cooperation Bureau and the Space Science Strategic Project of the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS). ISSI-BJ is operating in close collaboration with ISSI Bern. Both institutes share the same Science Committee, the same study tools, and other information of mutual relevance and interest, but use different operational methods and have different funding sources.
