Selected International Teams 2016
30 Teams have been selected for implementation by the Science Committee in May 2016 from the proposals received in response to the 2016 Call for International Teams. The next Call for Team Proposals will be released in January 2017.

Johannes Geiss Fellow 2016: Kurt Lambeck

ISSI has received 21 applications, and most of them came from excellent scientists. Needless to say that we are very honored by the high number of applications.The Selection Committee, consisting of all the Directors of ISSI and the Chairman of the ISSI Science Committee, and with the advice of Johannes Geiss, had a very hard task to evaluate the applications and to select the candidate for the 2016 Johannes Geiss Fellowship. After thorough evaluation of all the applications, we are proud to announce that Kurt Lambeck from the Australian National University, has been elected as the second JGF recipient.

Thomas Zurbuchen Named Head of NASA Science Mission

ISSI congratulates Thomas Zurbuchen for his new position as the new associate administrator for the Science Mission Directorate at the NASA’s headquarters in Washington. ISSI had the honor to welcome Thomas Zurbuchen many times for several visits at its premises. In 2010 he took a eight-month research sabbatical at ISSI. All the ISSI staff wishes him a lot of success in his new postion.
