Observations and Models of the Solar Cycle

Welcome to the Observations and Models of the Solar Cycle team website!

Our task is to evaluate the current understanding of the solar activity cycle and dynamo processes in the relation to the recent advances in observations of the Sun’s interior, surface magnetic field and corona from the SOHO space mission and ground-based observatories. The main goal is to formulate modeling and data analysis tasks, which will guide further development of theoretical model and observational techniques. This project is essential for developing the International Living with a Star program, and planning observing programs for future space missions Solar Dynamics Observatory and Solar Orbiter.
