Participants
Nicole Meyer-Vernet, Edmond Murad, Asta Pellinen-Wannberg, Olga Popova, and Ingrid Mann participated in person at ISSI. Marlene Rosenberg and Andrzej Czechowski were connected by Internet. Tadashi Mukai and Markus Rapp could not attend because of important commitments at their home institutions during the week of the meeting.


Publications
One research paper partly based on the group activities was published: (M Rosenberg: "On the possiblity of a lower-hybrid instability driven by fast ions sputtered from a meteoroid" Planet. Space Sci. in print). Two research papers are in preparation. Review paper (see above) to be submitted before the end of the year. Plans for a second review paper will be considered during the summer.




Future activities

Two sub group meetings anticipated for summer and early fall (outside of ISSI); Editorial meeting at ISSI planned for November 24 to 28 2008.
