Asymmetries in the Earth's dayside magnetosheath
 
1.  The average state dayside magnetosheath exhibits dawn-dusk asymmetries in density, magnetic field strength, bulk flow, and temperature.
 
2.  The asymmetries are a function of IMF orientation and Alfvenic mach number and could impact processes along the magnetopause as well as inside the magnetosphere.
