"Asymmetries in magnetosheath ion temperature and in the distribution of ULF plasma waves"
 
1. Combined Cluster-Themis observations show that ion plasma temperature anisotropy is 
distributed asymmetrically in the magnetosheath. The asymmetry is driven by IMF direction 
and its effect on plasma heating at the shock.
 
2. The global average distribution of Alvfenic ion-cyclotron waves and mirror modes depends on
the upstream shock parameters and distance to the shock.
