Outline of the work plan for the first ISSI meeting

The first two days will be spent by having each participant give a talk of 30 minutes maximum, followed by 15 min discussion, where he/she introduces the topic and a preliminary list of items that should be included in the reviews. The discussion time is needed for - as it says - discussion but also for adding topics/items/questions that should be handled by the review teams.

On Wednesday morning we will spend time (3 hours) to go through the list of topics, topic by topic, in order to form the subteams for each topic. Aim is to see whether topics are well defined, should be split or merged, and to assign individuals participating in the subteams.

Wednesday afternoon and full Thursday are available to work for the subteams in order to set up outlines of their papers, discuss what has to be included, divide tasks, and time permitting, can start working (for example by collecting/extracting lists of papers to be included in the topic, start writing the outlines, etc.).

Note: The subteams will have the free hand in organizing things, but it is important to do some streamlining/coordination in time, i.e. assign time slots, because the participants will participate in more than one subteam and cannot be in two subteam meetings at the same time. In particular this should be done for Wednesday afternoon, when the first subteam meetings will be held.

On Friday morning then each subteam will get about 15 min to summarise their outline/aim, and to allow the full team to comment on this.

Friday afternoon then will be available for (subteam) work again, where needed. See preliminary schedule below.

This schedule implies for almost all participants that they should arrive in Bern at last on Sunday evening.
