Meeting 2:    26th - 30th April 2010


Aims: Review the techniques and data products which we have now been derived.  Define a common file format for all datasets and discuss basic statistics of each.

  1. Issues arising since last meeting


  2. Averaging method for vectors - vector or scalar averaging?

  3. FIltering parameters for radar data - power, spectral width, velocity, velocity error limits?

  4. Dayglow subtraction techniques for IMAGE FUV data

  5. Baseline and time averaging of ground magnetometer data - dealing with data gaps



  1. Current 1 month (Dec 2002) sample files:


  2. CDF: 9334 records of IMF masked data, containing:

  3. cdf epoch, B(imf), v(sw), n(sw), AE, Dst, g1, g2, sw_p, clock angle, bias value, G-index, D(nt, nd, np),

  4. where:

  5. nt = number of time records (9334)

  6. nd = number of data records per time index (observatory dependent), and

  7. np = number of parameters per measurement
