Reference star positions are used to correct for errors in the nominal camera pointing direction. Currently the Tycho2 and UCAC5 star catalogues are used.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"2\">Requirements<\/h2>\n<p>The following requirements are necessary to run Caviar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An IDL license: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harrisgeospatial.com\/ProductsandTechnology\/Software\/IDL.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.harrisgeospatial.com\/ProductsandTechnology\/Software\/IDL.aspx<\/a><\/li>\n<li>A pre-loaded copy of the NAIF SPICE toolkit: <a href=\"https:\/\/naif.jpl.nasa.gov\/naif\/toolkit_IDL.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/naif.jpl.nasa.gov\/naif\/toolkit_IDL.html<\/a><\/li>\n<li>An active internet connection for access to the star catalogues via the Vizier web service<\/li>\n<li>SPICE kernels to provide the positions of the spacecraft and solar system bodies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"3\">Download<\/h2>\n<p>Caviar is available for download via the links shown below.
