Implications of ionospheric plasma in Solar wind &#8211; magnetosphere coupling<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is the abundance and variability of cold plasma at the magnetopause?<\/li>\n<li>How this variability affects the global reconnection rate between the solar wind and the magnetosphere?<\/li>\n<li>How important is cold plasma for the energy budget of magnetic reconnection?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>III.
