{"id":111,"date":"2014-10-13T07:38:15","date_gmt":"2014-10-13T07:38:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.issibern.ch\/teams\/solactclimmodel\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2014-10-13T07:38:15","modified_gmt":"2014-10-13T07:38:15","slug":"sample-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.issibern.ch\/teams\/solactclimmodel\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This multidisciplinary team aimed at developing scenarios of future solar activity on <em>multi-decadal<\/em> time scales for making better projections of future climate change for the <a title=\"CMIP6\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wcrp-climate.org\/index.php\/wgcm-cmip\/wgcm-cmip6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CMIP6<\/a> (Coupled Model Intercomparison Project) \u00a0climate model experiments, which will feed into the next assessment report of the IPCC.<\/p>\n<p>This team has now terminated. After\u00a0analysing\u00a0the latest reconstructions of past solar activity, we\u00a0built plausible scenarios of solar radiative and particle forcing. Our main\u00a0deliverable is a data set with a series of realistic scenarios of the daily level of solar activity (irradiance and particle forcing)\u00a0from 1850 till 2300.<\/p>\n<p>The data set is now\u00a0available for download from\u00a0the SOLARIS-HEPPA website:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/solarisheppa.geomar.de\/cmip6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/solarisheppa.geomar.de\/cmip6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For a complete description, see\u00a0K. This spectral band is an important driver of stratospheric ozone. The graph shows: the observational composite from the FP7 SOLID project (with \u00b1 one standard deviation in grey), the composite produced by the ISSI team for the climate model intercomparison project, and two model reconstructions that were used for it. The absolute irradiances differ by a few percent; for easier visualisation, we adjusted all reconstructions to the observational one by adding a small offset.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This team had 9 participants from the solar, space science, and climate communities, and met twice in 2015.
