About Ashik Paul

Prof. Ashik Paul is a Faculty of the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta, Calcutta, India. His current research interests include characterization of near-Earth Space Environment for possible application in mitigating signal fading and outages affecting transionospheric satellite-based communication and navigation system. The Space Weather and Satellite Beacon research group under his supervision operate multi-frequency GNSS receivers, Ionospheric TEC and Scintillation Monitor, GNU spaced-aerial VHF receiver, Event Driven Data Acquisition System (EDAS), Connected Autonomous Space Environment Sensor (CASES) Global Positioning System (GPS) software-defined receiver, Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) triple-band Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC) receiver and Coherent Radio Beacon Experiment (CRABEX) receiver for tracking LEO signals. He is the Principal Investigator of the SCINDA project at Calcutta University of US Air Force.
