News from the middle atmospheric ozone and water vapour observations of groundbased microwave radiometers at Bern and Ny Alesund

In the last years we collected time series of ozone and water vapour in the middle atmosphere above Bern and Ny Alesund. The data are appropriate to describe diurnal variations and short-term fluctuations of atmospheric composition. As well, we investigated spatial fluctuations of ozone by alternating the viewing direction of the radiometer beam. We also observed atmospheric composition changes at Ny Alesund during sudden stratospheric warmings and the descent of water vapour poor air in the upper stratospheric and lower mesospheric polar vortex during winter.
