List of Expected Outputs:

The anticipated outcome of the workshop which will bring together senior scientists, students and early career scientists will provide an increased understanding of the current issues and challenges in remote sensing of sea ice. Younger scientists will be able to network with peers on various scientific and technical issues, refining and optimizing the use of remote sensing tools, and developing potential cross-sensor products for studying the polar sea ice environment. It is anticipated that the workshop will provide a dynamic environment for the presentation of these problems and be highly productive towards their solution. The collaborative effort will manifest itself in the publication of research papers and establishment of long term collaboration between the participants, with a greater and more focused approach to the solution of this increasingly important and yet currently poorly understood geophysical parameter.
