Our changing climate: why does 1°C matter?

Climate change is often discussed as being a warming of 1 or 2°C globally. But to many people that might not sound like a meaningful change. This talk will highlight why 1°C really does matter, especially when we experience extreme weather events, which are now more intense than they would have been, had they occurred in the climate of 50 or 100 years ago. Climate change is not just changing the weather, it is changing the climate in which the weather happens.
